Hotel General Manager(s) - La Junta, CO

Looking for a mature, reliable non-smoking couple or team to manage motel. Full-time live-in position. This small motel has been in business for over 50 years and requires energy, personality, the ability to multi-task and a love of providing hospitality and dealing with people. This popular motel is located approximately 2 hours from Colorado Springs and 2.5 hours from Denver in Southeast Colorado.

Duties include check-in, check-out, handling reservations, ordering and purchasing supplies along with managing all aspects of operations, housekeeping, marketing, reservations, maintenance, bookkeeping. Should be able to manage online booking engines and market the property online and offline. This is a boutique motel with a vintage flair circa 1960's and 1970's. 

Ideal team has the skills for facility upkeep/maintenance, online marketing, people management and customer service. Knowledge of Facebook and various booking engines is a plus.

MUST HAVE: good communication skills, attention to detail and like dealing with people.

Compensation includes salary of $3,200 per month. Management must reside on-premises. A three-bedroom house is available onsite with all utilities paid for $1100/mo. Completely furnished with large kitchen, flat-screen HDTV, furniture, and appliances.  Pets: dogs only and certain breeds only are allowed on premise.

Prior hospitality and management experience preferred. Proficiency with computers a must. US work authorization a must.  You must also pass a criminal background check. 

Excellent opportunity: get paid, free living costs, good climate. Possible incentive package for the right team. It is 24-7 and likely not the best for teams with infants or small children.
