Hotel and Restaurant Front Desk and Maintenance/Landscaping - Sierra City, CA

Sierra Pines Resort is a seasonal hotel, bar & restaurant in the beautiful Sierra Mountains on Hwy 49 and situated on the No. Fork of the Yuba River. We offer 22 hotel rooms and a Fine Dining restaurant. We are hiring for our 2024 summer season to run May through October. Ideally, we'd love to find a long-term front of house person or team. We do have several positions open (wait staff, kitchen help, housekeepers, bar tenders), but we are primarily looking for a person with strong customer service and problem solving skills to help manage our very busy front office/hotel check-in/restaurant. We are definitely located off the beaten path. Our clientele is primarily couples, families & outdoor enthusiasts and we do host some weddings and music events. Our complete team will be about 16-18 fun loving people. Some of our employees have stayed several years and we pride ourselves not only on our excellent customer service, but our family environment within our great team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Greet customers/answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers with locating rooms and answering inquiries on local area
- Operate restaurant POS system and process customer transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized front end area
- Restock merchandise as needed

- Help update employee training manuals
- Follow company policies and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/multitask
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
