Managers duties

1.Directly responsible for day to day supervision, building management , housekeeping & safety.

2.Supervise all staff

3.Ensure all reservations/ vacancies are aggressively managed to assure maximum occupancy.

4.Ensure a consistently high level of cleanliness & housekeeping.

Actively seek new clientele & promote maximum occupancy

5.Monitor revenue & expenses also assure control of petty cash.

6.Perform & / or arrange for any needed repairs on approval of owners

Qualifications

1. College degree & / or equivalent work experience in a hostel or hostel like setting.

2. Experience

Hostel staff or management experience

Conflict resolution

Staff management

Guest & / or public relations experience

Property management experience

Hospitality management experience

3.Skills

Excellent written & oral communication skills

Diplomacy & conflict resolution skills

Ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals

Organizational & time management skills

Working knowledge of computers

Proficient in light bookkeeping / budget
