Host Couple - Deep Creek Lake, MD

We are an RV Park and Campground, Deep Creek Lake Area, Maryland, is hiring for the 2019 season! 

Campground Host Position Description    

ROLE

Campground Host duties work in the campground assisting with the reservation system, light custodial maintenance, and providing customer service to visitors. They also serve as eyes and ears for Park owners.

*** Must provide own living quarters such as a well maintained trailer or RV***

BASIC DUTIES:  Duties vary, but will be a combination of the following:

Live at the campground from mid-April through the last week of October. Have a basic understanding of camping and how to assist visitors if issues arise. Communicate potential or actual problems to the owners when they happen. Help out with light maintenance & pick up trash in campground  This could include light cleaning of office, restrooms, stocking of toilet paper, etc. Cleaning out fire grates. Other maintenance duties as assigned. Answer visitor questions and provide them with excellent customer service. Willing to work schedule set by Park owner each week in exchange for an RV site, water, sewer, and electrical hookup.  Assist with the campground reservation system and bookkeeping. Must have basic computer, math and money handling skills. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Friendly, courteous, and respectful to park visitors. Ability to communicate clearly with both staff and visitors. Provide own transportation and living quarters. Arrive by mid April, stay through commitment date. Preference will go to the Host able to stay for the entire season, but we will consider month to month Hosts. Flexibility and willingness to be a self starter. Agree to a criminal & motor vehicle background check.
