Historic 8-room B&B Seeks Resident Innkeeper(s) - Charlottesville, VA

The Dinsmore House Inn opened in 2003 and has sold more than 25,000 room nights in the last 12 years.  The individual or couple we hire is expected to embrace the lifestyle of a very busy inn.  We are experienced owners, and have quality staff to assist, but the resident innkeeper will take on a leadership role.  Routinely voted one of the best cities in America, Charlottesville is home of the University of Virginia and Monticello.  Our inn is on Main Street in Charlottesville, walking distance to dozens of restaurants and shops.

The required qualites to do this job are flexibility, willingness to work hard, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal communication skills.  We offer free onsite living in a terrace level studio apartment (with bathroom, laundry, small office, walk-in closet), a competitive salary, free utilities, annual performance bonuses and generous vacation time.  The ideal candidate is friendly and smart, with a positive attitude, a problem-solver, healthy and fit.  Must take appropriate action and manage staff to keep this inn running smoothly.  The owners are local and active in this inn, but are in search of an innkeeper who can be a champion of quality and hospitality.  Our innkeeper must have an extensive familiarity with the broad range of duties involved in running an inn, including cooking, light cleaning and laundry.
