Hard Working Caretaker Couple Wanted for a Remote Lodge - Rainy Pass, AK

We are looking for caretakers at our remote lodge located 125 air miles northwest from Anchorage at Rainy Pass Lodge, Alaska. Positions are open starting around April of 2013 and we are ideally looking for a year long commitment. This is a fly-in only lodge and you're room and board will be included in the pay. We are looking for hard working, personable, self motivated people. Job tasks include but are not limited to, Reporting the weather 7 times a day (must pass a weather test-we'll help train you), feeding our 16 horses every morning, taking care of the generator, refueling, oil changes, general lodge maintenance of equipment and buildings, cooking and cleaning for guests and staff, and other tasks that may arise in a remote lodge setting. This position works best for a husband and wife team. There are times were it will be just the two of you out here and other times when there will be a full staff and up to 50 people on the property.
The pay is not high, most people work here for the lifestyle and experience which is amazing and beautiful.  In the winter months the Iron Dog Snow Machine Race, Ultra Sport, and Iditarod come through our lodge(checkpoint), we will also have other guests and activities such as snow machine tours. In the summer there are guests for horse back trips/summer adventures and a youth camp-to help better our next generation, as well as our fall hunting season. Rainy Pass Lodge is the oldest Hunting Lodge in Alaska commemorated by the Alaska State Legislator, it is also the home and filming site for R5Sons, Alaska television show(not currently filming).
