Groundskeeper(s) - Big Flat, CA

We are located in Northern California on the gorgeous Trinity River next to the breathtaking Trinity Alps Wilderness Area in a tiny town called Big Flat (population 38).  We are on a major highway (299) midway between the Coast and Redding, CA.

The goal and purpose of the landscape maintenance person is to maintain, and ever improve, the visual and physical beauty of our resort.  After all, the overall appearance of the landscape is our guests’ very first impression of what Strawhouse is.  It is to be a welcoming beacon to those traveling Highway 299.  Ideally the person would work March/April through October (we do have some wiggle room on dates).  

Duties:

·        Lawns 

·        Planter areas

·        Fixed landscape

·        Potted plants

·        Trees

·        Walk ways

·        Parking lots

·        Rough areas

·        Drainages

·        Maintenance of tools and equipment

·        Automated water systems

·        Fertilizing schedule

·        Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

·        Must keep a clean work area

All tasks performed should be done with our guests’ enjoyment and satisfaction in mind.

Salary DOE

If suitable, we do have full hook-up rv sites on-site or there are camping/rv sites within walking distance of employment here.  

If a couple applies for this position, one person can apply for our lead housekeeping position.  Must have superior attention to detail tendencies, be extremely clean, and be okay with a flexible  schedule at times.
