Private employer seeking a full-time, live-in domestic couple for expansive property in downtown Chicago. Principal travels frequently so this position offers majority of weekends off and a great deal of self-management. Couple will be in charge of the daily maintenance of the home, including but not limited to:
- Daily cleaning of the entire home
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe maintenance
- Working with vendors, contractors, and other staff members
- Light household maintenance and repairs
- Care of family dog
- Driving Principal to and from appointments, the airport, etc
- Household errands and grocery shopping
- Preparing and serving meals
- Event support
- Vehicle maintenance
- Travel with employer as needed to other properties in the US
Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a domestic couple (ideally with the same employer and in a formal, fully-staffed household), are looking to make a long-term commitment, and are able to work a flexible schedule. Couple should be diligent, reliable, professional, well-spoken, and detail-oriented. Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and be comfortable wearing a full uniform.
