WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Impact Cares Workamper Opportunities. Are you interested in making a difference in people’s lives? Does a position where you can help individuals with real needs motivate you? Impact Cares is a faith based-branch of Impact Communities, a management company of Manufactured Housing communities across the United States. Impact Cares was developed to help support residents, as well as create awareness within local communities of the challenges faced by residents living within our communities. Our events are made possible by the hard work of volunteers from within the local community and area churches, and our amazing Impact Communities staff!
Impact Cares is seeking a very special kind of Workamper – we are looking for individuals that want to be a part of something that is larger than the individual, focused on giving, caring, and creating a better community for others. This work is not easy – there are long days, and hard work involved, but we can say there is nothing as rewarding as the work that is completed and the relationships that are built at an Impact Cares event! Workampers must have their own RV or camper that they can live within and travel with from one Impact Cares event to another. Travel is regular for this position. We work in many communities across many states, so this position is always on the move to the next community we are assisting! Workampers are provided a space for their RV for each project. Work is seasonal events scheduled from January through the week before Thanksgiving. For 2021, we have events scheduled in Texas, South Carolina and North Carolina. We will move north from there! When traveling between communities, you will receive mileage reimbursement and the driver will be paid per hour for time driving to scheduled events. When working an event, Workampers are paid $12 per hour.
This is a FT position, and FT employees are eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K! Responsibilities will include manual labor, grounds cleanup, routine maintenance, painting, replacing/repairing skirting, home repairs, etc., and may also include assistance with arranging sponsors, scheduling volunteer help and vendors. Those with specific experience in carpentry and skilled trades are greatly encouraged to apply. We need someone with this experience to help lead teams of workers at our events.
