FEATURED JOB OPENING: Seeking Caretaking Couple for Historic, Waterfront Estate Home - Hampton, VA

Vacation home shared by two families is a perfectly restored, circa 1900 house on a lovely waterfront property. Caretaker housing is provided in a small, turn-key, 1-bedroom cottage apartment with laundry facilities. Utilities and work vehicle included. Caretakers enjoy access to main house amenities when it is unoccupied, including hot tub, workout equipment, steam shower, smoker, pizza oven, dock, etc.  Skills in home/landscape maintenance and housekeeping, organization, communication and a dedicated work ethic will be required for this job. Food preparation skills and the ability to support occasional entertaining will be a plus!

Tasks include but are not limited to: 

Keeping the house clean and ready for visitors

Performing or managing maintenance of and/or repairs to the house and property -- making sure everything is in good working order 

Arranging and overseeing contracted service work or improvement projects such as painting, remodeling, HVAC work, etc.

Powerwashing

General care and maintenance of dock, boat, jetskis and lifts

Improvement and maintenance of professionally landscaped gardens and lawns.

Facilitating family visits with kitchen provisioning and some food preparation
