Our beautiful 80-acre private family resort is located on the shores of a 279-acre crystal-clear sand bottom lake in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Acquired in 1988, the camp has been completely rebuilt over the last five years into a state-of-the-art facility designed to last for centuries with all the modern conveniences. The camp will accommodate over 100 guests in 20 cabins while providing world class service, activities, and camaraderie.

 

Position Details:

 

Seeking an enthusiastic and experienced couple to manage day to day operations. This unique, live on site opportunity is ideal for individuals with hospitality and property management skills, passion for outdoor activities and a desire to create unforgettable experiences for guests and families. The goal is to provide a clean, attractive, and safe environment to offer a best-in-class entertainment experience for all guests. Our perfect couple will not be afraid to get their hands dirty, will have a can-do attitude and embody discretion, grace, and reliability. You must have a keen eye for detail, love being a teammate and enjoy serving others. The Resort Manager Couple will act in tandem as Camp Director and report to and be in direct contact with the Camp Trustee. The Camp Director is responsible for following and enforcing all policies and procedures at camp.   

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of management experience at a property of similar or greater scale
  2. High School diploma or equivalent
  3. Good record keeping skills
  4. Experience in general maintenance duties
  5. Ability to operate and maintain equipment
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Valid Driver’s licenses (subject to insurance approval)
  8. Clean criminal history (subject to security approval)
  9. Non-tobacco user

  4. Ability to handle unexpected issues and provide prompt solutions

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain preventative maintenance plans.
  2. Perform year-round general and preventative building/property maintenance and operational activities.
  3. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise seasonal staff.
  4. Establish good relations with owners, guests, and local vendors and always be a good ambassador of camp.
  5. Assist with hosting groups and guest activities.
  6. Maintain and order inventory of supplies and equipment.
  7. Execute weekly cabin turnover during summer.
  8. Conduct regular walkthroughs to make sure everything is operational and there is no damage, even during winter months.
  9. Close Camp in winter and open Camp in spring to ensure that all facilities are operable.
  10. Perform snow removal operations during the winter.

Schedule:

  1. Camp Season: May 1 – September 30: Full time, 7 days/week
  2. Winter Season: October 1- April 30: Full time, as needed

Employment Package:

  1. Generous salary commensurate with experience
  2. Private residence on premises with electricity, water, and regular maintenance expenses included
  3. Monthly stipend for the sole purpose of health insurance
