Sentinel has an immediate opening in Edmonton, as well as upcoming openings later this summer.
The Site Manager position consists of two roles: the Office Administrator, who is responsible for the day-to-day office administration, maintenance and operation of the storage facility, and Maintenance, who is responsible for the day-to-day minor repair, maintenance, security and operation of the storage facility. This position ensures the proper upkeep of the interior and exterior of the facility and the surrounding grounds while demonstrating a strong customer satisfaction accountability to Sentinel’s internal and external customers.
Office Administration Duties:
- Respond to telephone, email and in-person inquiries as per company guidelines, including quoting prices, describing benefits of facility, site tours and determining appropriate size of storage unit required
- Assist customers with move-in
- Balance and close daily sales and payments
- Collections of accounts
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Responsible to recruitment, select and onboard Assistant Site Managers as required
- Provide initial and ongoing training, guidance and support to Assistant Site Managers
- Guide and support activities in staffing, training and development, performance problems and career coaching
- Customer service oriented; ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external customers
- Must be professional, organized and efficient
- Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Must be able to adapt in a dynamic, continually changing environment
Maintenance Duties:
- Inspect interior and exterior areas to determine if there are issues that require corrective action
- Responsible to ensure security equipment is in working condition
- Basic snow removal and lawn care
- Ensure warehouse elevators are in good working condition (if applicable)
- Maintain overhead, roll-up and man doors
- Gather bids and oversee contractors, for repairs, improvements or maintenance
- Minor electrical, painting, plumbing abilities
- Provide minor maintenance on gates, to keep them in good operating order
- Provide regular maintenance for site equipment such as snow blowers, lawn mowers, push sweepers, weed eaters, etc. in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions
- Daily cleaning, Seasonal Maintenance
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; and adept office admin experience
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Mechanical aptitude and skill
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Must have valid Class 5 driver’s License, and consent to a Credit & Criminal Record check
