FEATURED JOB OPENING: Motel Management Couple - Chatham, MA

We are looking for a responsible management couple as resident managers to oversee a seasonal motel in beautiful Chatham, MA on Cape Cod.

Must be well-spoken, positive, reliable, professional, and driven to provide exceptional customer service in an effort to create a memorable experience for each guest.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, managing staff and vendors and ensuring guests have pleasant stay.

Job Duties:

• Manage the day to day motel operations
• Provide exceptional guest service to all hotel guests
• Greet and check guests into and out of the hotel
• Handle all guest requests and/or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Manage guest accounts by posting charges and handling cash and credit card transactions with accuracy
• Supervise housekeepers and check cleaning of all rooms daily
• Manage inventory of hotel supplies including cleaning supplies and linens
• Organize outsourced vendors such as lawn and pool maintenance companies
• Oversee that the 2 pools are maintained and tested to specifications
• Perform maintenance repairs such as screen repairs, drain clogs, storm door repair, drywall repair, lighting maintenance (bulb changes, etc), painting
• Run all necessary night audit reports
• Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner, answering questions and taking reservations
• Must have computer and Internet knowledge in order to operate our online property management software.

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates must be outgoing, friendly,honest, courteous, hospitable with commitment, and passion for the business
• Excellent oral and written skills sufficient to produce communications that properly reflect the company image.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred
• Experience managing motel preferred but not required
• Must have excellent references and a background check will be required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• At least one person on the team must have property maintenance knowledge

Benefits

·       $30,000 combined salary for a 7-month season (distributed over 7 or 12 months), divided between the couple
