Alpine Academy is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and self-motivated couples to be the primary, live-in caretakers for up to 11 youth, ages 12-18.

Youth Population:

Our youth are placed in care by their parents. The youth display behaviors consistent with major depressive disorders, oppositional defiance disorder, developmental delays and other emotionally disruptive conditions. The youth at Alpine Academy struggle with impulse control, emotional control, maintaining relationships, social skills, and other behaviors. Their parents are not on site, but are actively involved in treatment through video chat, email updates, and parent weekends. You would be an important part of a caring and supportive team to provide the youth with effective treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide youth with a caring environment in which to grow and learn.
• Model and teach social skills, self-help skills, academic skills, and independent living skills.
• Foster moral development of youth
• Administer the day-to-day operations of a large family residence
• Supervise a team of Associates who help you care for the youth in the home.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
• May not attend school during the first year of employment.
• Must be willing to live full-time in a home on the Alpine Academy campus.
• Both spouses must be able to prioritize the care and well-being of the youth in the home.

Salary: $60,000 per couple
