FEATURED JOB OPENING: Live in Hotel Front Desk Supervisor and Maintenance Couple - Lake Powell, Ticaboo, UT

Recruiting an experienced team for desk supervision and maintenance of a 77 room hotel in the spectacular high desert of Southern Utah on Lake Powell.  This is a year round role, that includes hourly compensation DOE, and as part of the compensation package living accomodations of a very nice 2 room (1 bedroom, 1 bath), full size kitchen, apartment inside the hotel. The roles would be as follows:

Front desk supervisor: Taking reservations, checking guests in/out, cleaning rooms and public areas/doing laundry, stocking breakfast area, handling retail transactions from small gift/food store attached to lobby. A  part of this role is also answering/responding to an emergency call from a guest, or checking a guest in after hours, via a house phone that is connected to the apartment. Emergencies and/or after hours needs are a very small percentage of the business, however availability on site, just in case these do arise is why the apartment is provided as part of the compensation.

Requirments:  Previsous hotel experience preferred but not required. Must be proficient in computer and computer sofware use and be able and willing to learn the front desk software and other systems associated with front desk operation. Must provide excellent customer service to both our enternal and external guest and ahve excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Physical requirements are standing on feet for 3-4 hours at a time, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, typing, moving objects and repetitive motitions that accompancy cleaning, scrubbing, mopping, and sweeping. This role will evolve away from as much room cleaning depending on "busy" or "slow" season, and typical "slow seson" winter room cleaning may be anywhere from 1 to 7 rooms to be cleaned.

Hotel and General Maintenance role:   Performs basic or advanced general maintenance and landscaping functions and projects as assigned. Checks daily routine items for preventive maintanance (filters, fluids etc...) and completes work room orders as assigned. Experience in any of all of the following areas preferred: HVAC, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, general maintenance, bob cat operation, painting. Hourly compensation depends on qualifications and experience. Must be safety concious and have the ability to provide courteous guest service when dealing with guest room and faclity issues. Aslo included oversight and operational functions of a swimming pool, when it is open. This role mae evolve into a maintenance supervisory role in the busy season, supervising a staff of 3-10 people with compensation to reflect, DOE.

Physical requirements:   Standing, bending, crawling, repetitive motions, lifting 20-100lbs, operating tools/equipment/machinery, working in extreme cold or hot temperatures, working in crawl spaces or cramped areas, climbing ladders working on roofs.

Overall Criteria for both roles:  Must be tobacco and drug free and able to pass a pre employment drug test and criminal background check.
