FEATURED JOB OPENING: Live-In Domestic Couple - Greenwich, CT Estate

A private couple seeks an energetic, experienced, hands-on, live-in couple for a 12-acre wooded estate in suburban Greenwich, CT.  Built circa 1930, the 10,000 sq ft home serves as the family's primary residence and, while renovated over the years, is not (by-design) a SmartHome. The property features a guest house, outdoor pool, pool house, tennis, and squash courts. The family enjoys a busy, active family environment and frequently hosting their children, grandchildren, and their friendly dogs on extended family visits.  Out-of-state travel is not required though local driving and occasional trips to the Tri-State area will be expected.

The family desires a simple, collaborative, household staffing structure where the family, their vendors, and the Couple will work together as a well-performing team. The daily direction will come from the family who does not seek a "household manager" but hands-on contributors who work well alongside the Mrs. and her other long-term and valued vendors. The Couple will ensure smooth operations, clear and consistent communication, and respond promptly to family requests.

The housekeeper/cook will provide detailed housekeeping, laundry, pantry and kitchen organizing, errand and grocery running, supply shopping, and daily preparation of healthy family-style meals. The handyman/caretaker will oversee routine preventative maintenance and corrective repairs to the buildings, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. Both positions will interface pleasantly with service providers, aid with interior/exterior cleaning, and ad hoc project requests. Service mindedness, flexibility, and a positive attitude are critical.

The ideal Couple will have 5+ years of experience in a similar domestic couple/caretaker position in the Northeast, the US, and demonstrated experience living in a suburban environment. The family seeks a long-term placement. A furnished one-bedroom apartment (located within the family’s primary residence) is provided, along with full-time access to an SUV.
