FEATURED JOB OPENING: Innkeeper and Chef Positions - Manson, WA

Full-time Innkeeper and Chef positions open at a luxury, boutique resort in a small town.  While the position is year-round full-time, the primary season is May – September.  The position is best suited for a couple where one manages all culinary requirements and the other manages guest services.  This destination tennis resort includes 13 guest accommodations.  The resort is located near beautiful Lake Chelan and the Okanogan National Forest.  The position offers a competitive annual salary ($65k for the couple DOE, gratuities, and additional income from events) as well as free lodging with utilities in a three-bedroom house located on the resort property.

We are interested in couples with integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic.  This is a shared position to allow full coverage during business hours and on-call coverage after hours.

The Chef will be responsible for all aspects of providing daily breakfast, creative director for the on-site café, occasional plated dinners, and other dining services as needed for events such as weddings, corporate meetings, etc.

The Innkeeper represents the resort in a warm and gracious manner to all guests - welcome guests on arrival, manage guest departures, manage reservations, and event bookings, phone and digital inquiries, and offer concierge service for local activities and dining.  Behind the scenes, this position is responsible for managing vendors, ordering inventory, cost controls, housekeeping management, and additional cleaning as needed. 

Both positions are responsible for ensuring and providing flawless, upscale, professional, and high-class guest service experiences, responding to guests needs and anticipating their unstated ones.  This includes customer service for accommodations, tennis guests, and wedding operations.  This position works with the owners to collect and analyze customer feedback and provide strategic direction to continuously improve overall ratings, offerings, and programming.

Qualifications

• Chef is creative and able to provide freshly made, high-quality cuisine from locally sourced ingredients
• Comfortable managing onsite garden
• Proven record of success in managing a B&B, inn, or like property
• Stable couple who will be able to stay with this property for a minimum of 3-5 years.
• Hospitality-driven attitude and willingness to make real connections with visitors as well as locals.
• Computer knowledge Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new hotel management systems, and tennis management software
• COVID-19 considerations: Must be Covid vaccinated, and proof is required. Must follow state mandates during work hours.

Ideally, this position would start in April so there would be enough time to come up to speed with the operations and expectations.
