FEATURED JOB OPENING: Houseparents - Amarillo, TX

High Plains Children’s Home is accepting applications for dedicated, Christian, married couples. We are looking for mission-minded people who desire to work and live with children in a nurturing and caring environment. Houseparents are responsible to care for up to 8 children in a family like setting. Most children are between the ages of 4-18 years of age and attend public schools in the Amarillo and Canyon communities. Houseparents will work together with a dedicated team of childcare professionals as they help children to grow and mature, developing their identities and obtaining dreams.

Requirements:
1. Must be at least 21 years of age
2. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
3. Some college or a College degree is preferred
4. Must present a valid marriage license at the time of employment
5. Must present a valid Texas driver’s license within 30 days after employment date.
6. Basic computer skills are required
7. Childcare experience or a experience in a related field is preferred
