If you are interested in assisting with the personal deveopment of youth in an emergency situation, then this job is for you. House Parents are responsible for 24hour care and supervision of residents in a residential environment. All residents attend school. House Parents work 7 days on (with site residence) and 7 days off (at your own personal residence). Duties include preparing meals, transporting residents to approved activities, ensuring the home is compliant with state licensing requirements, perform light housekeeping, maintain upkeep of outside grounds, and mantain accurate records. No children or pets are allowed on the premises.
Our Home is a six (6)-bed, emergency shelter located in beautiful coastal town of Southport, NC. We are seeking married couples or a team of two single individuals who will function as residential House Parents providing care, guidance, and support for youth ages, 10-17. Previous youth care experience is preferred; minimum of high school diploma or GED required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record. They must also be able to pass a criminal background check.
