The Church of God Home for Children, a faith-based non-profit organization, is seeking House Parent Couples at the Concord, North Carolina campus. In this role you would be in a position to make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk and hurting children and youth. You will join a team of dedicated individuals who oversee all aspects of welfare for an assigned group of at-risk and hurting children and youth.

Responsibilities:
Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to children and adolescent youth
Model and encourage positive attitudes and behaviors
Help teach social and independent living life skills, including coping mechanisms
Ensure the safety of every child and youth
Prepare healthy meals daily
Provide daily routines and structure in a home environment
Help children and youth develop healthy relationships with family and friends
Perform and supervise household chores
Supervise and assist with homework and school activities
Attend and supervise the children and youth in your cottage during the planned social events and activities provided by the Activities Coordinator(s)
Select, organize, and manage the supplies provided for the household of your assigned children, youth, and caregivers.
Encourage the spiritual growth of each resident through weekly church attendance, devotions, and example
Provide oversight of the cottage, grounds, and equipment
Provide transportation for children and youth when needed (via company vehicles)
Oversee and manage the overall operations of your assigned cottage
Position Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work as a team member and accept supervision.
Must be able to pass a drug test and extensive background checks.
Must be physically capable of performing all job duties.
Must be able to perform basic housekeeping duties and prepare meals.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a caring approach.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
