We are seeking a Professional Management Team to manage and operate our 8 room Inn situated on the mostly serene, but occasionally wild, lower Quinault River in the community of Amanda Park, WA. The lush Quinault rainforest that surrounds us provides a spectacular and green environment. Amanda Park is adjacent to the Olympic National Park and the Olympic National Forest and within the boundaries of the Quinault Indian Nation. Hiking, biking, fishing and tourism opportunities abound. Plus, our relationship with the Nation and Tribal Leadership is strong and respectful leading to positive community development partnerships.
As owners, we pride ourselves on outstanding guest services, spacious, inviting and well manicured grounds, a beautiful 400' riverfront and impeccable rooms. We are a thriving stop on the Olympic Peninsula tourism loop, active contributors to the Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission and founding members of the Lake Quinault Innkeepers. Pre-requisites:
Team concept requires a couple or two adults.
Work from home and enjoy a quiet, rural lifestyle.
Good people skills, service oriented and dispute resolution capabilities highly valued.
Light bookkeeping and MS Office proficiency required.
Good writing and communications skills essential.
‘Handy-man’ skills a plus – light plumbing, electrical and general repair.
Active people (functional fitness) are required to provide quality services and management of entire facility.
Management responsibilities: Manage all operational aspects of the Inn, fitness center and 5 RV sites.
Greet, check-in and check-out guests. Provide area information, highlights and directions.
Answer phone, take reservations.
Availability on site 9 am – 9 pm daily (1 person).
Oversee housekeeping staff.
Maintain grounds and lawn.
Maintain reservation calendar, weekly rental bookkeeping.
Manage inventory of supplies, linens, etc.
Weekly banking and laundry service in Aberdeen.
Compensation:
On-site housing provided at no cost (remodeled mobile home with updated baths and kitchen). All utilities included, except phone. Business office is connected (separate entrance) to home for convenient access to office/reservation area.
Guaranteed $42,000 a year compensation with additional ‘incentive’ compensation based on % of room sales.
Mileage compensation for business travel. i.e., banking and laundry.
Available for management use: Raised garden beds, fitness center and workshop.
