FEATURED JOB OPENING: Full Time Houseparent Couples - Glenwood, IL

Glenwood Academy is seeking married couples to positively impact the lives of diverse children as live-in House Parents.  Glenwood Academy is over 127 years old organization located 30 miles south of Chicago on a beautiful residential campus.  Glenwood has evolved from a manual training school for dependent boys to a comprehensive education and supportive residential program for boys and girls focused on academic success and leadership.

The House Parents oversee the basics of the students’ daily living.  House Parents collaborate with case managers, teachers, administrators, and parent/guardians to facilitate student success.

Cottage homes consist of approximately 12 students ranging from 8-17 years old.  House Parents work to create a family-like atmosphere in the cottage homes and provide both quality one-on-one and group time with the children to develop self-worth and autonym.

Requirements include:

• Couple must meet age and family status requirements
• Each person must have a valid driver’s license
• Experience working with diverse children and youth
• Bachelors' degree preferred
