Flexible Estate Managers (couple) for a 250-acre ranch located in East Texas on Cedar Creek Lake. The property is a single family’s second residence utilized as a recreational property for family and guests. Seeking a self-motivated and organized couple with a positive attitude capable of providing full-time and on-call requirements for scheduled events held on the property, primarily on weekends and holidays.
Estate Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Oversight of all aspects of maintaining the main lodge, guesthouse, manager house and several separate guest quarters, property grounds, and all equipment (vehicles, boats, utility vehicles, golf carts, etc.).
- Independent scheduling and supervision of approved vendors and contractors, maintaining a priority relationship for property repairs and renovations. Ability to manage multiple projects at any time, navigating challenges/issues for on-time completion. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems operations is a plus.
- Supervising and directing staff - Three (3) full-time ground/maintenance employees, one (1) full-time and one (1) part-time housekeeper. Maintain employee scheduling for weekend/holiday events. Must be willing and able to perform home and grounds maintenance when necessary.
- Prepare homestyle meals for family & guests when in residence. Extensive meal planning and preparation required for large events with varying guest counts to 100+. Grocery and supply shopping required.
- Overall property/event management to ensure positive and successful family/guest experiences with immediate attention to issues.
- Assist in planning, coordination and organization of scheduled business and social events including golf tournaments, holiday celebrations, retreats, etc. Teamwork mentality always required, especially when working with co-employees.
- Communicate scheduled golf events to golf course manager/employees.
- Perform weekly/monthly administrative tasks. Submit weekly employee payroll, vendor/contractor invoices, monthly reports, and reconcile credit card receipts. Maintain and update records and manuals.
- Develop/maintain annual budget; critically analyze contract pricing for repairs, maintenance & renovations on behalf of the principals.
- Oversee care for horses and other family pets.
- Other duties as required that support the overall scope of responsibilities for family, project, property, and event management.
Couples without children will be given first consideration due to the nature and demands of the position. Experience in property management preferred, including the coordination of housekeeping and maintenance. Restaurant management and/or catering experience is a plus. The selected couple must both pass a criminal background check, credit check, and have a clean driving record. References required upon request.
