FEATURED JOB OPENING: Facilities & Housekeeping Couple - Spicewood, TX (near Austin)

Overview:
Seeking a full-time maintenance and hospitality couple for Treehouse Resort and Event Center on a private working ranch. Together, the couple will fulfill the roles of handyman, ranch/farm hand, housekeeping, and onsite guest relations. The ideal couple would be one maintenance/handyperson and one hospitaity/housekeepng person. Duties include the daily maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of treehouses, ranch facilities, and a few animals. Housekeeping/hospitality duties include ordering supplies, scheduling other housekeeping staff, cleaning treehouses and doing laundry. Maintenance/handyperson duties include regular landscape and facility maintenance and tackling deferred maintenance projects. Our team is fast but thorough, with a strong customer relations focus. Because the aim of each task is to create a positive experience for our guests, attention to detail, and great customer relations are a must. You will be working with all systems and equipment needed to run a working ranch and hospitality business— please include any relevant experience you have in your cover letter or resume. This growing business is looking for candidates who can expand responsibilities as we grow. Located 30 miles west of downtown Austin.

Requirements:

Must be available to live on site (housing provided)

Must be flexible, have weekend and holiday availability, and be willing to work in a variety of capacities as needed by the business

Disposition to quickly resolve any problem that might arise during a guests’ stay, often at night or weekends.

Ability to be well organized and detail-oriented

Must be comfortable working at heights

This is a ‘nature preserve’ with facilities scattered throughout the ranch. Candidates must be willing to work in all weather.

Must be responsible, reliable, and a self-starter

Prior experience as a handyman or ranch hand, construction/repair trades is preferred

Prior experience as a professional cleaner and/or hotel housekeeping is preferred
 

Compensation:

Housing will be provided in a solar-powered, 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin on site. Wireless internet is available at the main office. The cabin has a wood-burning stove, a full kitchen, and electricity. Please note: Due to the nature of the position and onsite housing arrangements, children and pets cannot be accommodated.

On-site staff will also receive an hourly rate to be negotiated based on experience.

Main facility recreation area is available for respectful use by onsite staff. This area includes a swimming pond with a rope swing and water zipline, as well as a swimming pool, hammocks, basketball hoop, etc.

On-site staff may use the onsite laundry facility for personal use as long as it does not interfere with treehouse/Ranch House operations

This is a growing, environmentally responsible business in the heart of Texas Hill Country. We currently have 5 treehouses, a 6-bedroom Ranch House, and 7 glamping tents for guest accommodations.
