FEATURED JOB OPENING: Couple Needed to Complete our Team CATALINA ISLAND - Avalon, CA

Our position is a live on site employment opportunity in which a couple will work and be responsible for laundry, guestroom cleaning and property maintenence ("back of house" ops) for our family operated 35 room Inn on Catalina Island.

This position is designed for a non smoking couple (no singles), looking for a rewarding opportunity to join an amazing team, serving amazing guests in Paradise!

The Ideal Couple will "complete" what is the most customer centric resort hotel operation on Catalina island.  The front desk, reservations, maintenance and marketing team are in place and once we fill this very important housekeeping opportunity, with a kind and hard working couple, our family team will be complete! 

This is a fun team, and the job is rewarding if you love to make a difference in the lives of those you work with and the guests you serve.  The main focus is to create a happy, clean, organized department including:

Cleaning - Hands on cleaning and laundry for the common areas on property interior and exterior & guest rooms.

Maintenance - Interior and exterior maintenance and light grounds keeping.   

Driving - Shuttle guests between the hotel and ports of arrival and to the dive park, so must both have a current drivers license and clean driving record.

Communicating - with guests, with staff, with management, using phones, radios, internet,  & computers.

We all pitch in where the need is, so if a phone needs to be answered, you answer it; if a guest needs a ride to the store, you give it; If a light bulb needs changing, you change it.  If a wall needs touch up painting you paint it.  We all help when the help is needed so we can all have fun providing a great experience for our valued guests.  

     You must be kind, hard working, non smoking and have a positive outlook and enjoy people.  Previous hotel housekeeping service experience preferred.

 We pride ourselves on personal, results driven, kind and caring interaction, clean rooms, and a friendly atmosphere.

The compensation includes FREE living quarters on site with free utilities, internet & cable, and an hourly wage  of $15 per person (35 to 40 hours per week each) to start, for 90 day training period which will result in a raise. This is a long term, full time year round position.

Travel to the island to start the job and cost to send belongings from San Pedro to the island on Avalon Freight Line is included for relocation. 

 Catalina Island is a great place to live and work with great year round weather, friendly small town atmosphere, clean water and air and no need for a car!

       Must be able to relocate within a month and as our longest standing employees have been with us for over 33 years, once taken this opportunity will not be available for many years!
