Timothy Hill Children's Ranch, a 501(c)(3) non-profit with over 45 years of youth residential and retreat service experience, has two open positions at our Retreat Center in Huntington, Massachusetts. The Retreat at Norwich Lake is located on picturesque Norwich Lake in the Berkshire Mountain area of Massachusetts. We serve a variety of summer camps, youth groups, churches and non-profits year round, serving all of our guests so they can refresh, renew and restore while on our campus.
We are currently searching for a Christ-centered Maintenance Director & Culinary/Guest Services Coordinator with a passion for excellence in hospitality. These roles could be filled well with a professional working couple who has experience in the respective fields and proven experience working together as a team.

Maintenance Director:
Job Summary:
To oversee all the properties and facilities of Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch. This includes and is not limited duties and responsibilities listed below. This role is also responsible for compliance and regulation, staff development, safety scheduling and training of relevant staff and project oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read, understand and support THCR Mission and Vision statements.
Responsible for overall maintenance all facilities (Performs weekly walk-through two times per week in every corner of the ranch).
Responsible for all properties and town related issues
Enforces campus rules and regulations.
Staff Development
Assist maintenance of (grounds) when needed.
Responsible for fire alarm systems
Serves as crew chief at times in resident’s work program.
Supervises and motivates staff and residents to develop work skills in general handyman skills.
Arrange and post work crew leaders with jobs and residents for vocational program.
Oversee all areas of:
Harvesting of hay.
Farm and Animals
Snow removal, driveway and parking lot maintenance
Maintenance projects
Vocational Training
Performs any other reasonable duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Must have a high level of integrity and ability to work with confidential information.
Must be flexible, self-motivated and able to follow through on tasks and projects.
Valid New York State Driver’s License
High School Diploma required. College degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction and property management
A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Food Service & Hospitality Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Food Service & Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day food service and assisting with delivering an exceptional guest experience at the Retreat at Norwich Lake.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Food Service
Oversee the food service at the Retreat at Norwich Lake
Develop efficient food service procedures.
Host events including catering for guests, volunteer work groups.
Coordinate the preparation of all food including buffet-style catering for summer camp, special events and for weekend groups.
Cleaning / Housekeeping
Oversee the cleaning and housekeeping at the Retreat at Norwich Lake to ensure that high levels of facility cleanliness are maintained.
Oversee and participate in the housekeeping of the main lodge suites and cabins daily during guest stays
Administration
When not performing other duties, and in the Assistant Site Director’s absence, greet, check in and check out guests in a warm, welcoming manner.
When not performing other duties, and in the Assistant Site Director’s absence, answer phones and arrange bookings.
Job Requirements:
Must have strong hospitality and culinary skills.
Must have experience cleaning, catering, and managing housekeeping systems.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
Must have a high level of integrity and ability to work with confidential information.
Must be flexible, self-motivated and able to follow through on tasks and projects.
May live either onsite or near The Retreat at Norwich Lake.
Must be able to work flexible hours. Days off will fluctuate dependent upon bookings.
Must be able to work long hours during the summer month of June-August.
Must be able to work a six-day week during busy times.
