We are hiring a full time caretaker/property manager to operate a small lodge and ten cabins located in Angel Fire, NM.
The Retreat at Angel Fire provides a quality environment and comfortable accommodations for groups, families, and individuals. The Retreat is located in Angel Fire, NM, a small ski resort town roughly 25 miles from Taos, NM.
Our ideal candidate(s) will have strong customer service skills and experience, as well as proficient maintenance and caretaking skills. The candidate will be equally comfortable as the “face” of The Retreat for our guests as he/she will be maintaining the 12 acre property and cabins.
Duties include: customer service and guest management (taking calls, managing reservations, processing payments, fulfilling customer requests, and other administrative work), cabin cleaning (full cleaning, including bathrooms, bedrooms, floors, kitchen, etc.), cabin maintenance and repair (dealing with minor issues and upkeep), grounds keeping (e.g. snow removal, brush clearing, etc.), and managing supplier/partner relationships. This position is very demanding during high seasons and fairly relaxed during our slow seasons.
Candidates must be trustworthy and dependable (all candidates must pass drug test and full background check). Applicants must be physically able to live and work at an elevation of 9,000 feet.
In addition to a competitive salary, the position includes lodging for up to two people (pets are discouraged, but we would consider small pets if you are an otherwise exemplary candidate), paid vacation, and opportunity for additional benefits (e.g. health insurance, stock ownership) after one year.
Our ideal candidate would be available to start work on or before May 1, 2013.
