FEATURED JOB OPENING: Caretaker Couple for Unique Event Venue & Historic Lodge Near Lake Tahoe - Soda Springs, CA

Seeking a Couple to perform caretaker/property management and event oversight duties at the Rainbow Lodge near Lake Tahoe.  This beautiful Lodge has undergone major renovations and has been converted into a unique event venue to be rented for weddings, corporate retreats, private events, and family reunions. This is an incredible opportunity to create a robust event venue while maintaining this beautiful historic jewel.  This exciting position requires a couple that is comfortable with guests from all walks of life, prior event and hospitality experience with exceptional customer service skills, and a strong maintenance background for upkeep of this picturesque property. 

• Are you a couple with at least 8 years prior experience working as a Caretaker or Property Manager at an upscale hotel or venue?
• Do you have exceptional customer service skills where nothing is too big or small when it comes to providing your guests with the best experience of a lifetime?
• When it comes to events – do you have a reputation for planning enchanting weddings and amazing retreats?  Do other event venues look at you with envy given your stellar attention to detail with the promise of an unforgettable event?
• Do you have handyman experience with strong maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and the ability to operate heavy equipment? 
• Do you have experience operating snow removal equipment?  
• Do you have management skills capable of opening and running a restaurant and bar?
• Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly change gears and do so with grace under fire where they never see you sweat??
• Are you a yes-can-do person with a positive attitude and sense of humor?
• Would you love to live in a beautiful, spacious, brand-new Chalet with state-of-the art amenities?

If you answered “YES” to the above and would like to dive into a dynamic position, then we are looking for you!  This incredible opportunity will put you in charge of the following:

• The upkeep and maintenance of the Lodge and surrounding property.
• A position where you can use your prior experience in guest services, hospitality, and events to make your mark at the Rainbow Lodge making it the perfect group escape and event venue in the Tahoe area!
• Achieving our mission of providing our guests with an unforgettable event experience given your amazing attention to detail!
• Manage onsite staff and vendors using your excellent management skills.
• Reopen the lodge’s famous restaurant and bar when not in event peak season.
• Oversee housekeeping to ensure guest rooms are ready for our guests to enjoy a heightened experience of comfort and delight.
• Oversee caterers, bartenders, and all vendors to make memorable moments and successful events!
• Manage inventory of supplies such as toiletries, merchandise, and alcohol to ensure supplies are stocked and ready for events!
• Oversee landscaping including tree trimming, lawn, and pond care.
• Maintenance and handyman skills are required including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience.  Experience with snow removal and heavy equipment desired.
• Perform duties in accordance with company and OSHA policies.
• Provide on-site general security.
