SWIFT REAL ESTATE PARTNERS IS SEEKING A PROFESSIONAL CARETAKER COUPLE FOR A UNIQUE EVENT VENUE NEAR LAKE TAHOE
Swift Real Estate Partners is seeking a married couple to perform caretaker and event management responsibilities at the Rainbow Lodge in Soda Springs, CA. This beautiful historic lodge has undergone major renovations, and converted to an exclusive event venue for weddings, corporate retreats, private events, and family reunions. The newly remodeled chalet will be home to the caretakers while employed at the Lodge. The ideal couple will exude a high level of customer service in organizing events, while preserving the general maintenance of the Lodge and overseeing renovation projects.

If you answered “YES” to the above and would like to dive into an exciting position than read on, we are looking for you! In this position, you will handle the following:
Maintenance & Upkeep of the Lodge
- The upkeep and maintenance of the Lodge and surrounding property, including maintaining equipment and the company truck to ensure it is in good operating condition.
- Manage supply inventory such as toiletries, merchandise, and alcohol to ensure supplies are stocked and ready for events.
- Oversee landscaping including tree trimming, lawn, and pond care.
- Snow removal and operating the snowplow.
- Maintenance skill including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience. Experience with snow removal and heavy equipment desired.
- Perform duties in accordance with company and OSHA policies.
- Provide on-site general security.
- Assist in moving materials and supplies.
- Oversee administration of schedule permits & inspections
- Prepare Lodge and grounds for winter and summer seasons
Event Management
- Oversee and manage events, including conducting tours of the Lodge, responding to event inquiries in a timely manner and conducting tours of the Lodge.
- Manage vendors including caterers, bartenders, and maintenance-related vendors.
- During off-season, host events in the Lodge restaurant and bar.
- Oversee housekeeping by hiring and managing housekeeping vendors to ensure guest rooms are clean and ready so guests can enjoy a heightened experience of comfort and delight.
- ServeSafe certified required
- Ability to use online communications and platforms for example, email, DocuSign and web-based event management platforms is required.

- Lodging of the Chalet is included while employed at the Lodge
- Chalet is a historic jewel box with modern conveniences and finishes approximately 1100 sf
- Complete down-to-the-studs renovation in 2018
- Preserved original river rock fireplace and hand-hewn beams
- All new stainless-steel appliances
- Granite countertops with all new cabinets and a farmhouse sink
- Master bedroom with full master bath and dual vanities
- 2nd bedroom with full bath
- 3rd bedroom/study
- Additional storage closets, pantry, and nooks
The ideal couple will possess the following:
- A couple with at least 8 years of experience working as a Caretaker or Property Manager at an upscale hotel or hospitality venue.
- Excellent guest service experience in planning events and weddings, with stellar attention to detail to ensure an unforgettable event.
- Have well-rounded general maintenance skills and experience, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and the ability to operate heavy equipment, including snow removal experience to upkeep the Lodge in excellent condition.
