FEATURED JOB OPENIN: Live In Mentors - Private 2 bedroom Apt. Multiple openings, Multiple Locations - Newton, Walpole, and Malden, MA

The Live In Mentor(s) will provide support, guidance, and instruction to seven to fourteen individuals with mild to moderate developmental disabilities and psychiatric needs by sharing a home and the responsibilities of running a home. The CLA program helps people with disabilities live independently in the community in group home settings, with 7-14 individuals per house. All supports, guidance, and instruction are to be provided with the utmost respect for each individual's dignity and value as a member of society.

Position Details: Two Live In Mentors will live in a private, two bedroom apartment attached to the house, making this position ideal for a couple, a pair of siblings, or two friends! The responsibilities include assisting the residents Monday-Friday (7-8:30am), nightly checks (around 10pm) 7 days per week, and sleeping at the house nightly. There are currently positions available in houses opening this winter in Newton, Walpole, and Malden.

Educational/Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma or Equivalency and experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a residential setting • Must have valid Driver's License • Ability to Pass First Aid/CPR within the first 6 months of employment • Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills, both oral and written • Non-smoker/no pets required
