Farm Seeks Couple for Live-in Housekeeping/Property Management Opportunity - Rosemont, NJ

Property owner seeks couple to live on-site and provide housekeeping and property management services for a 10+ acre horse farm located in Rosemont, NJ.

Position includes recently renovated one bedroom apartment on premises. Basic utilities are also included (water, gas, electric). Must be available on a daily basis, however hours are flexible.  

Seeking two people able to share responsibility for the following tasks:

Housekeeping

·         Complete daily routine cleaning tasks for the property’s two residences (main house/guest house and immediate outside areas), including vacuuming, bed making/linen changes, laundry, dusting, washing dishes, etc.

·         Carry out more involved/detailed cleaning tasks on a weekly or monthly basis depending on owner requirement.

·         Maintain household systems and keep household supplies well-stocked.

·         Light cooking required when property owner is on-site.

·         Personal errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, and other local errands.

·         Care for one medium-sized dog, particularly when owner is out of town.

Landscaping/Property Maintenance

·         Landscaping of common property areas – weeding, mulching, plantings, etc.

·         General upkeep of property’s various outbuildings (potting shed, barn, theater, garages, etc.).

·         Prepare the property for events and visitors when necessary.

·         Carry out more involved/long-term landscaping projects on a seasonal basis depending on owner requirement.

·         Maintenance of vegetable garden and flower beds on a seasonal basis.

·         Operation of snow removal equipment in winter months.

Both positions require excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills. Experience with horse care is preferred but not required.

Bi-weekly pay is offered in addition to living quarters; rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
