Looking for an experienced, courteous, non-smoking, mature couple to manage a 15-room motel Rothsay, MN which is located within the Red River Prairie ecological subsection of Minnesota and home to some of the best fishing lakes and ponds in the region.

 

Our Area is home to the great prairie chicken, but there are 111 bird species which have been seen there and at least 67 of these have been documented as breeding. It's a birder's paradise!. The town is three hours from the Canadian border and roughly 3 hours north of Minneapolis. Popular with truckers, hunters and birders alike. The motel is a very reasonable alternative to local resorts; it is the only motel in Rothsay and the closest to the Wildlife Management Area. It is a sweet and cozy inn, very popular on Trip Advisor and other similar travel websites. it sits just off of Interstate 94.

 

Prior innkeeping/motel experience preferred, but will consider hard working couple with excellent customer service and maintenance skills.  Monthly salary plus a large apartment with all utilities paid. We prefer if one partner can do maintenance. Motel operates all year round and responsibilities include online reservations, guest check-in/out, front desk service, reservation management, overseeing small housekeeping staff, and some laundry duties. Computer skills are required. Extra pay for some maintenance work beyond the basic upkeep.
