Domestic Couple - Westbury, UK 32894

A fantastic opportunity for a live in couple in the countryside near Westbury, BA13. Part time residence to a respectful and grateful Couple (with grown up children). This role is for a professional and experienced Couple to take care of the weekend residence in a lovely rural location. The successful couple will be replacing a Couple who have been very happy working with the family.

A dedicated, honest and flexible Couple will be best suited for this role. This role will cover all duties for example housekeeping, laundry, shopping for the household and cooking for 10-12 people on occasion (the principals are very conscious of not overloading the Couple so they tend to get a local to help with serving where the meal number exceeds 10). Training and support can be given for the right couple by the lady of the house or externally – however you should enjoy cooking and be confident and willing to learn.

Other role duties will include general maintenance/ houseman duties (informal table service, laying fires), cutting and stacking logs, weeding/ clearing leaves and washing cars etc. Two part time gardeners are employed. Ideally two drivers, but at least one is essential. Car provided for work use.

The accommodation is a 2 bedroom separate cottage with all bills included. Pets are welcome. When in residence, the hours will be 9am – 2pm and 5pm – 8pm 5 day week including weekends, with Tuesday and Wednesday as days off. When not in residence, the hours will be 9am – 5pm and weekends can be taken off if they are not visiting. The principals do not visit every weekend as they like to travel and stay with friends. A typical year would be working about 30 weekends.
