Domestic Couple - Oyster Bay, NY

This is a formal home that requires uniforms and prior formal home experience. In addition, any interested candidates must have extremely strong laundering skills and a proven history of working in homes with fine linens, high quality fabrics and with extensive wardrobes. Nothing is ever sent out for cleaning. 

Both candidates must gave at least 5-7 years of experience in a semi-formal or formal home with very strong verbal and written English skills. 

The days off for this role will typically be Sunday and Monday, however, some flexibility is required. In addition, the family travels to their home in Colorado during the holidays and children’s breaks and would like the Domestic Couple to be able to travel with them as needed. 

The Domestic Couple will be provided with a private bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with a separate entrance to the home. 

Candidates must:
• Be able to drive and have clean driving record
• Have formal experience and be able to serve formally
• Be extremely discreet
• Be extremely professional and display proper etiquette
• Be comfortable working in uniform
• Have extremely strong laundress skills (all garments are washed and dry cleaned at the residence). 
• Be comfortable to assist with occasional entertaining 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of a large home according to formal standards
• Wardrobe management 
• Preparing simple, healthy meals
• Formal meal service
• Pet care for two dogs
• Drive teenage children to events and activities
• Food and supply shopping as well as other errands
• Work with Household Management and Personal Assistant to assist with overseeing projects and vendors

A Couple that sets high standards for organization and cleanliness will do well here. The Couple will be expected to structure their days so that they are able to complete all tasks. During the day, the family is out of the home so the Couple must be excellent planners and work well independently.
