Conservation Corps is currently looking for energetic and resourceful couples as Leaders to complete high priority conservation projects with a crew of young people. In 2013, Conservation Corps crews will be working primarily throughout the state of Vermont.
Leading a Conservation Corps crew is a job unlike any you've ever had before! As a Crew Leading couple you will live and work in the outdoors and complete conservation projects such as trail construction, bridge building, and stone stair case construction. After a comprehensive training, you and your partner will be responsible for managing these work projects and ensuring high-quality standards are met. As a team, will also serve as teachersand a role models to the young people on your crew by building a strong community, ensuring the health and safety of your crew, and teaching both life and job skills. This job will stretch your comfort zones and challenge your relationship with one another in unforeseen ways, but the rewards and sense of accomplishment which you'll gain are immense.
We are seeking couples for our summer season that runs from May 26th to August 11th (3-month positions). Crew Leader positions include three weeks of paid training, and an Education Award (based on position and eligibility).
