Community Minded Resident Manager (or couple) - Vernon, BC

We are looking for an experienced live in Resident Manager (or couple) for our large apartment located in beautiful Vernon, BC. We seek someone who is excited to contribute to successful operations and to create a community anyone would be pleased to call home. This will be your home as well.

Qualifications:

·         previous rental building experience and knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act

·         strong administrative and organizational skills and energy in this fast paced environment

·         good people skills; ability to deal with a diverse groups of tenants; excellent customer service

·         reliable; able to excel with minimal supervision, but be a successful team player

·         attention to detail and procedure

·         good computer skills including: Word, Excel, e-mail

·         excellent written and spoken English skills

·         MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TOOLS, A VEHICLE AND VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE

Contributions include:

·         suite viewings

·         collecting rents; make bank deposits

·         advertising including on the internet; showing and renting suites to appropriate tenants

·         move in/move out reports

·         preparing lease documents

·         general maintenance and cleaning duties

·         tenant requests, as appropriate

·         scheduling and working with contractors

·         prepare suites for rental (examples: change toilets, remove old counters, replace p-traps, change lights, install new ballasts, etc.)

·         other duties as required

·         available between 9-5 Monday to Friday and emergency on-call duties as required

Required experience:

• minimum 3 years

Education:

• High school or equivalent, required
• Certified Resident Manager, or equivalent, considered an asset
