Caretaker Couple for Farm - Western North Carolina, NC

Seeking an experienced, strong, energetic, organized, and self-directed couple with a positive attitude.

This couple will maintain private residence, guesthouse, grounds, equipment, organic farm and animals in Western North Carolina. The position is full time with salary and housing. The couple must have relevant work experience, handyman skills, cooking and household skills, equipment maintenance skills, great communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to work extended hours, holidays and weekends when the family is present.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
Provides security for entire property.
Performs all required grounds keeping duties, including tennis courts.
Maintain all vehicles including golf carts.
Handles preventives maintenance and repair for all facilities.
Provides preventive maintenance and repair work for all operating equipment.
Maintains the domestic water and sewer systems, water wells, irrigation system.
Repairs and paints exteriors as needed.
Maintains fences.
Operate heavy equipment.
Orchestrates special projects as directed by owner.
Hauls trash to landfill.
Provides house cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and cooking.
Coordinates and assist with family/guest needs when family is present.
Manage temporary staff when needed.
Organize and manage household inventories and inventories of outbuildings.
Provide animal care basics including feeding, cleaning cages and keeping animals healthy.
All errands and supply procurement pertaining to the property or guest, including airport pick-ups and delivery.
Hires and supervises third party service providers authorized by owner in advance.
Picks up the mail.
Maintains household budgets and accounting
Strong computer skills to include: email, Excel, Word, with the ability to take photos and report weekly activities via email.
Communicates and cooperates with family members, their guests, and employees, outside service agents in order to maintain a secure, courteous, and professional environment.
Resides in housing provided with immediate family only. Keeps house and yard in clean and orderly condition.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
