Campground Hosts - Anchorage, AK

We are seeking Camp Host’s for four (4) campgrounds in South Central Alaska, for the 2018 season beginning in May through mid-September. These are parks near Wasilla & Palmer, Alaska.

Each campground is staffed with a Host or Host Couple who are responsible for the day to day cleaning and maintenance of their facility including:

•     Trash pick-up and disposal

•     Cleaning lavatories, once per day

Administrative duties include:

•     Fee & park rule enforcement

•     Hazard identification

•     Firewood sales

•     Weekly income deposits

•     Daily and monthly park use reports

Additional Host services to park users may include; directions to local venues and businesses, assistance with campsites or equipment, information regarding fish and game regulations, and other informational services as may be requested.

Five (5) of our parks are on lakes, with excellent fishing opportunities. One is located on the Matanuska River. You'll have plenty of time to explore the area.

Qualifications: 
~You must be 21-years old, and have a valid driver’s License 
~Have your own self contained RV or Camper

~Have Excellent Customer Service Skills and Cash Handling experience
~Be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
~Be willing to work in all weather conditions

~Be able to compete basic paperwork

This position is perfect for couples or individuals; your hours depend on your park assignment and assigned duties. Salary Compensation depends on your park assignment and a percentage of park receipts at close of contract, and also includes a Free Camping Site w/ picnic table and fire ring. In addition, GHC allows its contractors to experience Alaska with discounts on select Fishing Charters.
