Volunteer Work Campers 2021 Season - Come and spend the summer at Imrie Park

This position is great for the semi-retired or retired couple who love people and the outdoors. This couple would have to be able to work unsupervised, be organized and have some yard experience. Imrie Park is a small private campground located on Devil’s Lake just east of Onoway Alberta managed by Onoway Fish & Game Club.It is a 216 acre park with groomed trails and natural habitat viewing area as well as camping, day use and group use facilities. Currently there are 18 camping spots, a cookhouse, an enclosed picnic shelter, and a day use area.The park has electricity and water from our own well.

Responsibilities:

• To coordinate reservations/fees
• Welcome guests
• To provide guests with general information regarding the surrounding area and attractions
• To assist with cleaning of common areas
• To assist with the landscaping by cutting the grass, and helping with small maintenance  projects
• To commit to the whole season, May 1 to October 31, 2021.

Pre-requisites:

• Hosts must provide their own self-contained camping unit (RV, truck camper or tent trailer)
• Have experience in camping
• Enjoy the outdoors
• Have the ability to act as a role model with your campground ethics
• Be energetic , flexible and in good health
• Be friendly, outgoing and passionate about sharing the camp experience with others

Benefit:

In return for your services, you will be provided with a free serviced campsite (including power, sewer and water); picnic table and free use of campground facilities. There is a small honorarium of approximately $1000/month depending on services provided.
