Campground Hosts: Three Rivers State Park in quiet Sneads, Florida is seeking resident campground host volunteers that are willing to contribute 20 hours per week, per person, for a maximum of 4 months in exchange for a campsite on beautiful Lake Seminole. All volunteer sites are equipped with 30 and 50 amp service, potable water, septic hook-up and lake views. Come and experience some of the best freshwater fishing in the state on Lake Seminole! Boasting, wildlife viewing, fishing, canoeing and relaxation are some of the reasons that visitors and hosts love this location.
As a campground host, you will be responsible for maintaining 31 campsites and 1 rustic rental cabin. Hosts will work the camper registration office collecting fees, registering campers, renting canoes and kayaks, selling firewood and assisting the visitors. Campground maintenance will be part of this position as well and shall include cleaning fire rings, cleaning empty campsites, cleaning the restroom, mowing, weed eating, cabin cleaning and fish waste station cleaning and disposal. Hosts will also be available to the visitors with questions and provide assistance as needed. All training will be provided upon arrival as well as uniform shirts.
Resident Maintenance Volunteers: Three Rivers State Park in quiet Sneads, Florida is seeking resident maintenance volunteers willing to contribute 20 hours per week, per person, for a minimum of 1 month and maximum of 4 months in exchange for a campsite this summer and fall of 2020. All volunteer sites are equipped with 30 and 50 Amp electric, septic hook-up and potable water. Come experience some of the best freshwater fishing in the state on Lake Seminole! Boating, wildlife viewing, and relaxation are some of the activities you can enjoy during your stay at Three Rivers State Park.
Maintenance volunteers shall assist park staff with ongoing projects, trail maintenance, mowing, weedeating, cleaning facilities, trash pickup, tractor and heavy equipment operation, vehicle and small engine maintenance, construction and repairs, plumbing and electrical, fencing and other maintenance-oriented tasks. Volunteer will also be required to assist park visitors when needed and assist the campground hosts when needed. Training and uniforms provided.
