Camp Hosts/Security - McGregor, IA

Are you looking for a place where you get to enjoy the great outdoors while working with the public? Looking for a couple who is positive, motivated, and organized. We are a campground that has RV/campsites, cabins, and uniquely features an onsite show cave. In operation for over 70 years.

Position Camp Worker duties includes work and pay for two people. Position start/end date May to October

Qualifications: Must own and work from camper. Ability to do a variety of work that requires standing, and some walking. Work will be mostly during the weekdays (occasional evening hours), with some weekends (rarely). Verbal, written, and interpersonal skills necessary.  Ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations. Flexible work mindset appreciated. Work and communicate well with others.

Responsibilities: 

Provide excellent customer service

Comply with campground policies and procedures

Check guests in for campsites/cabins

Deliver firewood, ice & fill LP tanks

General grounds keeping & keep restrooms clean

Occasional cabin cleaning during the week

Assist with laundry and refilling totes for cabins

General campground security and oversight

Mow/trim grass as needed

Landscaping as needed (water plants, pick-up sticks etc)

Minor maintenance work (not a requirement)

Other duties as assigned

We will provide: full hook-up campsite (water, electric, and sewer) plus $500 - $750 per week, WIFI, onsite laundry, propane at cost, use of golf cart and occasional UTV getting around campground, two days off together a week

Pay: Willing to pay $500.00 - $750 per week pending on hours worked
