Work Schedule: Five-day work week with hours varying as need demands.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides houseboat and pleasure boat dry storage, service and repair, launch and retrieval, marine retail and parts, and rental services to boaters and recreational users of the lake, located 12 miles away.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience working in customer service or retail, preferably with a general knowledge of boat related services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills by phone, email, and face to face
- Experience and ability in using computer software and Microsoft office programs.
- Strong business and personal ethics.
- Expert ability to turn employee or customer confrontation into a positive business outcome.
- Strong, sales, and customer service ability and experience.
- Personal passion for outdoor adventure that translates to the guest experience.
- Some mechanical and operational experience in boats preferred, or a mechanical aptitude to learn basic operation and mechanics.
- Prior experience or ability to learn to operate and navigate water craft.
- Ability to operate autonomously frequently and take direction and accomplish set tasks and projects.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit leadership at all times, at work, and in employee housing/outings by being a positive role model.
- Able to live and work in a unique, remote “off the grid” location and environment that can have limited resources at times.
- Positive, persuasive, business and interpersonal skills required.
Essential Functions:
- Performs all services related to boat storage and services daily
- Provides courteous, accurate, customer service on a daily basis
- Accurately records all records, list and cash handling procedures
- Ensures safety of guests, employees and rental equipment.
- Ensures cleanliness and operation of Boat and watercraft rentals.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, federal and National Park Service, regulations, licenses and requirements for all operational areas.
- Protects company revenue and limits company liability through following SOPs, safety practices and business directives.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Highschool or equivalent education
Experience: Some relevant boat services related experience strongly preferred.
