Looking for a B&B assistant that is full of integrity, gratitude, and sees life as the Zen monks do, which is a "practice". Life here is a practice in doing whatever one does with serenity and joy. It's a practice of efficiency and thoroughness. And, it is a practice in flexibility, i.e., a willingness to jump into a different project, than the one planned. We need ‘the right person’ (health minded, independent, quiet, happily content, and a willing worker) living full time and working 6 hours, 5 days a week.
This job is basically for the female of the relationship, but we do not want to exclude her husband, as we know he can provide the compainship in a rather remote spot on the island of Maui. The assistant we are looking for is a mature female between the ages of 27-33. We are advertising on this website because are open to hiring a couple that is in a long term committed relationship. The position is for the female in the relationship, because she will be working alongside the femal owner and life flows easily, with the "female understanding" Their partner is able to live in the accommodations provided.
1. have a willing attitude which allows a request to be easily made
2. keep rental units clean and ready for guests
3. be an expert on the computer
4. have general organizational skills
5. groceries picked up on occasion in Paia
6. keep laundry going so it never piles up
7. keep garbage and re-cycle organized
Note: It is almost a necessity to have a car, otherwise there is an occasional bus called the MEO. (MEO= Maui Economic Opportunity) picks up in Hana at 6 AM and returns at 3PM most week days.) And, the couple must be comfortable with tropic invasion (bugs, mosquitoes, geckos) for we live in a tropical environment.
