Owner-operated property management company hiring a resident manager or resident manager team for 70 units. Resident managers’ apartment is onsite a 51 unit studio and quint complex. Manager/management team is also responsible for three other smaller properties nearby.
We offer a one-bedroom/1 bath apartment including utilities (except cable), $1700/month salary, sick time and two weeks paid vacation per year.
You must have flexibility in hours and be available to work weekends when vacancies are above 5%. Office team member(s) must be available to be on property from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend and after hours work sometimes a necessity.

Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask
- Self motivated
- Strong people skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks by a deadline
- Ability to work independently and as a team with other managers
- Physically capable to climb stairs and be active on properties
- Apartment management experience and knowledge of landlord tenant laws a plus
- Current valid drivers license
- Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Bilingual not mandatory but is a plus
Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:
- Show vacant apartments and present rental information to prospective residents
- Prepare rental agreement paperwork, weekly and monthly reports
- Serve notices
- Apartment rental bookkeeping, answer phones and return calls
- Maintain files for each resident
- Maintain cleanliness around property and office
- Inspect apartments and common areas regularly, especially after move out and before move in
- Provide general supervision of apartment communities by being visible and available
- Establish and maintain communication and familiarity with tenants
- Address resident concerns and inquiries
- Mediate conflicts or disputes between tenants
- Daily communication with business owners and office staff via e-mail, phone and text
- Notify owners about maintenance and safety/security needs
- Be prepared to handle an emergency situation
- Work closely with Housing Authority and other community service agencies
