Join a family owned ice cream shop and convenience store in Cooke City, MT, located only 4 miles from Yellowstone National Park and a 20 minute drive to Lamar Valley. Cooke City is a basecamp for wildlife watching, fishing, hiking, and exploration of the nation's first national park, Yellowstone, as well as the Beartooths Mountains, Beartooth Highway and national forests surrounding Cooke City.

Job Description:

Work and play in beautiful Cooke City, MT, only 4 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Job duties include preparing breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts,serving ice cream, and working in the convenience store. Pay is $16/hr + tips and 50 cent/hour worked bonus at the end of the season. Job starts May 21 and last through August 20, with the possibility of working more. 30-35+ hrs a week, 2 days off a week together. Housing available. 2 positions needed. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare breakfast sandwiches, frost doughnuts, bake muffins
• Serve hand dipped ice cream in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner
• Create coffee beverages, including drip coffee and cold brew drinks
• Consistently stock the convenience store
• Assist customers in the convenience store
• Operate cash register and tender payment
• Assist in cleaning the store and keeping ice cream shop sanitary.

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to scoop ice cream by hand
• Excellent communication skills
• Math skills to handle cash and make change
• Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions
• Willingness to interact with a diverse clientele
• Ability to handle a high volume of people in a calm and efficient manner
• Ability to arrive on time for early morning shifts
